Grandhotel Pupp ***** Karlovy Vary
Grandhotel Pupp
Karlovy Vary – City Centre
Mírové náměstí 2, 360 01 Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic
General Description
The Grandhotel Pupp has been one of the great symbols of Karlovy Vary — and of Central European hospitality — for more than three centuries. Founded in 1701 when the Saxon Hall was built on the banks of the Teplá River, the hotel has been shaped by six generations of the Pupp family into one of Europe's most celebrated historic hotels, attracting eminent guests from Goethe, Beethoven and Kafka to modern-day film stars attending the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
The hotel's 228 rooms and suites are distributed across two interconnected wings: the River Side, with traditional 18th-century stucco interiors and crystal chandeliers, and the Park Side, with a more contemporary design. All rooms are fully air-conditioned and equipped with flat-screen TV, minibar, safe and free Wi-Fi. Some rooms feature balconies overlooking the Teplá River and the spa colonnades.
Dining at the Pupp spans three restaurants, a café and two bars, including the famous Becher's Bar. The Pupp Royal Spa covers 1,300 m² and offers guests free access to a 15×7 m indoor pool, jacuzzi, dry and steam saunas, a salt cave and a modern fitness centre, plus over 30 treatments ranging from traditional Karlovy Vary spa procedures to beauty and physiotherapy. A casino, boutique shopping gallery and eight meeting and conference rooms complete the offering.
