Hotel Kikelet was a four-star wellness hotel occupying a protected historic building perched directly above the historic centre of Pécs, in one of the most scenic spots of the Mecsek Mountains. The hotel commanded spectacular panoramic views over the city and the surrounding hills, and enjoyed a Mediterranean microclimate thanks to the protective mountain range to the north.

Pécs itself is one of Hungary's most culturally rich cities — a 2,000-year-old settlement with outstanding Roman, Ottoman and Hungarian heritage, famous for its museums, artistic life, Zsolnay porcelain tradition, and the surrounding wine region. The hotel's 33 rooms (standard, superior and suites) were spread over three floors of the carefully renovated listed building, and the wellness centre offered a jacuzzi, sauna, steam bath, solarium and massage treatments.
