Hotel Rathauspark ****
Hotel Rathauspark Wien
(formerly Austria Trend Hotel Rathauspark · Radisson Individuals · Handwritten Collection by Accor from 2026)
Vienna – 1st District (Innere Stadt)
Rathausstraße 17, 1010 Vienna, Austria
General Description
Hotel Rathauspark Wien is one of Vienna's most atmospheric city-centre hotels — a magnificent 19th-century city palace built in 1882 and situated between Vienna's neo-Gothic City Hall (Rathaus) and the historic Burgtheater, in the very heart of the capital. The building carries a remarkable literary legacy: the world-famous writer Stefan Zweig lived at this very address — Rathausstraße 17 — from 1895 to 1907, and the hotel's unique ambience continues to inspire guests today. Following a comprehensive redesign completed in August 2024, the hotel shines in new splendour while retaining its palais character.
The hotel's 120 elegantly appointed rooms feature contemporary wooden furnishings, air conditioning (sustainably powered by eco-friendly district cooling), free Wi-Fi, flat-screen cable TV, minibar and private bathroom; some rooms include a bathtub and tea/coffee making facilities. The restaurant serves a generous buffet breakfast with regional specialities and organic products, while the Falco Bar offers a curated selection of Viennese coffee specialties, cocktails and drinks around the clock. Although positioned within walking distance of the most celebrated sights in Vienna — the Ringstrasse, Hofburg, the University and Vienna's museums — the hotel stands on a quiet side street guaranteeing a restful stay.
The Rathaus Underground Station (U2) and several tram and bus stops are just steps from the front door. Meeting and conference facilities, parking and a 24-hour concierge service are available for business guests.
