Panoramic Tour of Vienna

Get a great overview of Vienna's most outstanding landmarks. Travelling along the Ringstrasse you will admire countless magnificent buildings: the MAK, the Opera House, the imposing Kunsthistorisches Museum with the famous Habsburg art collections and the Natural History Museum, the MuseumsQuartier cultural centre, the Hofburg — the imperial winter residence —, the Parliament, the City Hall and the Burgtheater.

A Morning at Schönbrunn

We visit the most visited building in the country: the former summer residence of the Habsburg dynasty. Of its 1,441 rooms, 40 are open to the public. We will explore these, divided between the rooms prepared in the 19th century for the court of Emperor Franz Joseph and his wife Elisabeth, known as Sisi, and the lavish state rooms from the reign of the famous and energetic Empress Maria Theresa. At the Hofbackstube — the palace bakery — we will attend the Apple Strudel Show, watching the famous Apfelstrudel being prepared according to Viennese pastry-making tradition. On days when the Strudel Show is not available, we will instead visit Schönbrunn's collection of historic imperial carriages. We will also take the opportunity to photograph the palace's magnificent gardens.

Vienna Woods – Mayerling

This half-day excursion takes in the highlights of the southern Vienna Woods region. Passing near the Roman spa town of Baden, we reach the beautiful valley of Helenental. We visit the former Mayerling Hunting Lodge (including the commemorative chapel), where Crown Prince Rudolf met his tragic end in 1889 alongside Baroness Vetsera. At the Cistercian Monastery of Heiligenkreuz (Holy Cross, 1133), we explore the medieval cloister with the tombs of the last members of the Babenberg dynasty. We then pass through Höldrichsmühle and arrive at the Seegrotte. After a boat trip across the largest underground lake in Europe, we return to Vienna.

Vienna by Night

Discover another side of Vienna! After a coach ride along the elegant Ringstrasse, we head to the 150-metre-high Danube Tower for photos. We then stop alongside the famous Prater amusement park with its iconic Giant Ferris Wheel, made famous by the film The Third Man. We dine at a restaurant in the city centre. The evening can also end at the Prater (entrance NOT included).
