Discover the views of Budapest with the help of our professional guide and admire the most important attractions on both banks of the Danube. From the Chain Bridge we pass in front of St. Stephen's Basilica and the Parliament. Crossing the Danube via Margaret Bridge, we head to the Castle District. Walking towards Fisherman's Bastion and Matthias Church, you will discover the most famous landmarks on Castle Hill. At Gellért Hill we stop at the Citadella for photos, then continue over Elizabeth Bridge towards Pest. On the Pest side you will admire the Great Market Hall, the National Museum, Keleti Train Station, Puskás Stadium, and arrive at Heroes' Square in City Park. After a stroll around the square, we continue along Andrássy Avenue, passing by the Opera House, and finish in the city centre.

Cultural tour of Budapest

Guided tour of the interior of the Hungarian Parliament, the country's most iconic building. In the dome hall you will see the Hungarian Crown Jewels. Next, you visit St. Stephen's Basilica, home to one of the most important relics in Hungarian Catholicism: the Holy Right Hand — the mummified hand of King Stephen I, the first king of Hungary and a saint. The tour ends with a visit to the State Opera House, a majestic Neo-Renaissance palace from the era of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. *The Parliament reserves the right to restrict access on special occasions such as national holidays, state visits, etc.

Dinner with folkloric show and illuminated Budapest by night

At around 19:00 we depart from the hotel and head to one of the most emblematic folkloric restaurants in the city, where we enjoy the renowned Hungarian cuisine. We begin with a digestif (pálinka) and after the goulash soup are served a variety of meat dishes, Hungarian white and red wine, finishing with a traditional dessert and coffee. During dinner there is live folk music and a traditional dance show. After dinner we take a romantic night tour of illuminated Budapest with our guide. We return to the hotel at approximately 23:00.

Jewish Budapest

During this tour you will explore the Jewish Quarter among its most important buildings and palaces. You will visit the Great Synagogue on Dohány Street — the most important Jewish monument in the Hungarian capital and the second largest synagogue in the world — and the Jewish Museum (interior visit). You will also see the Tree of Life, the Heroes' Temple and the Cemetery in the synagogue garden. Near the synagogue you will have the opportunity to enjoy a coffee and cake at a local café.

Excursion to Szentendre

A romantic escape from the capital to discover a very different atmosphere. You will wander through the town's narrow streets and along the riverside promenade, then explore the icons of the Orthodox church, before climbing the hill where the Catholic church of the town centre stands. You may visit one of the many museums: the Hungarian ceramics museum dedicated to the famous sculptor Margit Kovács, or the Marzipan Museum. During free time you can enjoy a coffee at one of the charming cafés or buy a gift for the family at the craft shops.

Danube Bend with lunch included

A journey combining landscape and history. As we leave Budapest, we pass by the Roman ruins in Óbuda. After an hour's drive we reach the medieval village of Visegrád. We ascend to the Danube Bend on the so-called Cloud Hill, with the most spectacular view of the ruins of the Sky Castle. 30 minutes later we arrive in Esztergom, the ancient capital of Hungary and the centre of Hungarian Christianity. We cross the Danube via the Mária Valéria Bridge into Slovakia to enjoy the finest view of Esztergom and Visegrád. We return to the Hungarian Vatican and visit the largest basilica in Hungary. Inside you can admire, among other curiosities, the Renaissance chapel and the tomb of Cardinal Mindszenty. Lunch at a traditional restaurant, and on the return to Budapest we stop in Szentendre, where after a stroll through the old town we enter the Orthodox church.

Gödöllő, Sisi's Palace

Visit one of the largest Baroque palaces in the world in Gödöllő. After a 30-minute drive from Budapest, you arrive at the former residence of Queen Elisabeth (Sisi) and Emperor Franz Joseph (Habsburg Emperor and, between 1867 and 1916, also King of Hungary). During the museum visit and stroll through the palace gardens, you will be transported back to the era of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Our guide will reveal the secrets of the royal bedrooms, hidden doors, private life and the loves of the imperial couple. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a coffee.

Magical Hungary

We then head to the traditional Lázár brothers' stables where you are welcomed with a glass of Hungarian pálinka and pogácsa. After a carriage ride around the estate, you will enjoy a horse show and a traditional lunch at the farm, before returning to Budapest.

Lake Balaton & Herend

After a 1.5-hour drive, we arrive in the traditional village of Herend, where we visit one of the world's largest porcelain manufactories, founded in 1826. After a guided tour of the workshops we invite you for a coffee (shopping available). We continue to Lake Balaton, the largest freshwater lake in Central Europe, arriving at Balatonfüred — the most well-known and elegant spa resort on the lake — where you can stroll along the famous promenade. Lunch is served at a csárda, the most traditional restaurant type in the region, featuring classic Hungarian cuisine. We then visit the picturesque Tihany Peninsula, home to Hungary's second Benedictine abbey, founded in 1055. Return to the hotel.

Tour to "The Puszta" — The Great Plain

Spend an unforgettable day on the famous Hungarian Puszta. After hotel pick-up and approximately 1.5 hours of travel, you arrive in Kecskemét to admire examples of Hungarian Art Nouveau. You walk through the wonderful city centre and visit the most emblematic monuments and buildings: the Main Square with the famous Town Hall, the Theatre and the churches. We continue our tour to a traditional farm in Lajosmizse. After a welcome from the horsemen, you can taste Hungary's famous pálinka brandy and the salted biscuit pogácsa. You are then taken on a carriage ride through the estate, followed by a traditional Hungarian shepherd's lunch accompanied by live Romani music.
