Poland
The Kingdom of Poland dates back to 1025, although the adoption of Christianity in these lands took place a century earlier. For centuries the country endured the sieges of Russians, Swedes, Germans, French and Soviets — until finally, in 1989, following the fall of Communism, Poland regained its freedom and the Third Polish Republic was established.
Since 2004 Poland has been a member of the European Union, opening its doors with pride in its past and, above all, confidence in its future.
