Booking conditions

Programme — Pearls of Transylvania 5 days / 4 nights

Day 1 — Sunday · Bucharest

Arrival at Bucharest airport and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2 — Monday · Bucharest › Sibiu

Breakfast and panoramic tour of Bucharest. The "City of Joy" was known as the "Little Paris of the East" for its French-influenced buildings and rich bohemian life. During the tour you will admire: University Square (1859), Unirii Square where the Patriarchal Cathedral (1658) and the Metropolitan Palace stand side by side, the old Curtea Veche neighbourhood with its evocative guild streets, the Curtea Veche Palace built by Prince Vlad the Impaler (15th century) — founder of Bucharest as capital of Wallachia — the Hanul lui Manuc inn (now a hotel with a restaurant), and the imposing Palace of the Parliament, the second largest building in the world after the Pentagon, with 315,000 m² and 40 halls for congresses and exhibitions. The tour continues through Cișmigiu Park — the oldest in Bucharest — the Triumphal Arch (1922, inaugurated in 1936), Herăstrău Park and the Village Museum (1936).

Departure to Sibiu, crossing the Carpathian Mountains through the Olt Valley. Sibiu was the European Capital of Culture in 2007 and is one of the Romanian cities that best preserves its medieval Saxon-influenced architecture. Accommodation.

Day 3 — Tuesday · Sibiu › Sighișoara › Brașov

Breakfast and departure to Sighișoara — birthplace of Prince Vlad Țepeș (the Impaler). Of Roman origin (Castrum Sex), in the 12th century it was occupied by the Saxons, who built a citadel in the upper town, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A visit to the house where Vlad Țepeș was born — the prince who inspired the figure of Dracula — is highly recommended. Continuation to Brașov, Romania's second city. Stroll through the medieval centre: the Town Hall Square (16th century), the Black Church (15th century) — the most representative monument of Romanian Gothic — and the famous Rope Street. Accommodation.

Day 4 — Wednesday · Brașov › Bran › Sinaia › Bucharest

Breakfast and departure to the village of Bran, home to the 14th-century medieval castle known as Dracula's Castle. Continuation to Sinaia — "the Pearl of the Carpathians" — nestled at the foot of the Bucegi Mountains, where you can visit Peleș Palace, built by King Carol I in the 19th century in the style of the classic German Renaissance palaces. Arrival in Bucharest in the afternoon. Accommodation.

Day 5 — Thursday · Bucharest

Breakfast and transfer to the airport.
