Programme — Hello Hungary 8 days / 7 nights

Day 1 — Arrival in Budapest (Half board)

Private transfer with a local English-speaking guide to the Carlton Hotel Buda Castle 4★, located just a few metres from the Fisherman's Bastion. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 2 — Budapest (Full board)

Breakfast and panoramic tour with a local English-speaking guide. We begin in Pest: the majestic Andrássy Avenue with its Art Nouveau palaces, Heroes' Square commemorating the millennium of Hungary's foundation, and St Stephen's Basilica. We cross the Danube to Buda and ascend to the Castle District: Matthias Church, where Hungarian kings were traditionally crowned. Lunch at a restaurant. Free afternoon. Dinner.

Day 3 — Budapest (Full board)

Breakfast. Visit to the impressive Parliament with a local guide: interiors, history and anecdotes. Afterwards, visit to the Opera House, dating from the era of Empress Sisi. Lunch at a central restaurant. Free afternoon with the option to visit one of the famous thermal baths in this thermal spa capital.

Optional: farewell dinner on a private Danube cruise, or the famous Goulash Party with music and Romani dancing. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 4 — Budapest › Eger › Miskolc-Lillafüred (Full board · 180 km)

Breakfast and departure to Eger, famous for its vineyards and high-quality wines (including the celebrated "Bull's Blood"). City tour and free time until lunch. In the mid-afternoon, onward to Miskolc-Lillafüred. Free time to enjoy the natural surroundings or relax in the hotel's spa area. Dinner and accommodation at the Hotel Palota Lillafüred 4★.

Day 5 — Lillafüred › Vác › Visegrád (Full board)

Breakfast and departure to Vác. Ferry crossing of the Danube and arrival in Visegrád in the mid-afternoon. Visit to the fortress castle, which offers a stunning panoramic view of the Danube Bend. Next, visit to the village of Szentendre, renowned for the quality of its craftspeople. Lunch. Accommodation at the panoramic Hotel Silvanus 4★. Dinner at a restaurant.

Day 6 — Visegrád › Esztergom › Győr › Pannonhalma › Sopron (Full board)

Breakfast and departure to Esztergom. Visit to the Episcopal Basilica, the seat of Hungarian Catholic faith. Onward to Győr (brief visit). Lunch en route. Continuation to Pannonhalma, where we visit Hungary's most important Abbey (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Mid-afternoon arrival in Sopron. Accommodation and dinner.

Day 7 — Sopron › Lake Balaton (Full board)

Breakfast and departure to Lake Balaton, the largest lake in Central Europe. Stop in Keszthely to visit the Festetics Palace. Continuation to the Tihany Peninsula. Free time for lunch. Visit to the village surrounded by the lake's waters. Continuation to Balatonfüred (brief visit). Dinner and accommodation.

Day 8 — Lake Balaton › Budapest Airport (B&B)

Breakfast. At the indicated time, departure to Budapest Airport for the return flight.

Triple rooms: hotels generally do not offer triple rooms with three equal beds. These are usually understood as a double room with an extra bed, sofa bed or similar. Not recommended for three adults; suitable only for 2 adults + child, or 3 children.
