Programme — Poland for Religious Groups 9 days / 8 nights

Day 1 — Arrival in Warsaw (Half board)

Meeting at Warsaw Airport with the Spanish-speaking courier guide and transfer to the hotel Mercure Chopin 3★ sup. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2 — Warsaw › Częstochowa (Half board)

Breakfast and at 9:00 departure for a half-day tour of Warsaw with a Spanish-speaking local guide. We visit St. John's Cathedral and the Church of St. Stanisław Kostka with the tomb of Father Popiełuszko — spiritual leader of the Solidarity trade union, murdered by the communist police. Free lunch and departure for Częstochowa. Arrival and overnight at the Ibis Hotel 3★. First evening visit to the Jasna Góra Monastery. Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3 — Częstochowa › Auschwitz › Wadowice › Krakow (Half board)

Breakfast and visit to the Monastery. After the visit and Mass, departure for Krakow. En route, a stop at Auschwitz with free time for lunch. Guided visit to the Museum and continuation of the journey. Along the way we stop in Wadowice to visit the Wojtyła family home and the local church where the infant Karol was baptised. Arrival in Krakow and overnight at the Hotel Chopin 3★. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 4 — Krakow › Wieliczka › Łagiewniki (Half board)

Breakfast and morning visit to the Łagiewniki Monastery, the world centre of the Divine Mercy. Continuation of the Krakow tour including admission to St. Mary's Basilica, Wawel Cathedral and the Archbishop's Palace. Free lunch. In the afternoon, departure for Wieliczka and visit to the Salt Mine with a local guide. Return to Krakow and free time until dinner at a restaurant in the city centre.

Day 5 — Krakow › Łańcut › Krasiczyn › Lviv (Ukraine) (Half board)

Breakfast and departure towards the Ukrainian border. En route, a guided visit to Łańcut Palace and Poland's largest Carriage Museum. Free time for lunch. Continuation to Krasiczyn. Brief guided visit to Krasiczyn Palace. Around 21:00, arrival in Lviv, dinner and overnight at the Hotel Grand 4★.

Day 6 — Lviv (Ukraine) (Half board)

Breakfast and start of the city tour with a Spanish-speaking local guide of the Catholic capital of Ukraine, visited by Pope John Paul II in 1993. The visit includes the Catholic Cathedral (1360–1479), whose restoration (1776–1798) replaced several Gothic elements with Baroque ones. We admire sculptures and paintings by renowned artists, as well as the Boim Chapel (1609–15), with rich reliefs and decorative sculptures. Market Square (Ploshcha Rynok), with origins dating to the 14th century, is surrounded by 44 buildings in Renaissance, Baroque and Empire styles. The Dominican Church is one of the main Baroque structures in Lviv. We also visit the main University building (1877–81) and, in the afternoon, the open-air museum of Shevchenkivskyi Hai, showcasing the wooden architecture and rural life of Ukraine. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7 — Lviv › Bełżec › Zamość › Lublin

Breakfast and return to Poland. En route, a stop in Bełżec, one of the Nazi camps where many Jewish lives were lost. Continuation to Zamość. On arrival, free lunch and meeting with the local guide for a tour of the city. Afterwards, continuation to Lublin, where Pope John Paul II taught at the university. Dinner and overnight at the Campanile Hotel 3★.

Day 8 — Lublin › Kazimierz › Warsaw (Half board)

Breakfast and meeting with the local guide for a tour of the city, including the Chapel of the Holy Trinity with its Romanesque frescoes. We also visit the Majdanek concentration camp. Free lunch and departure for Warsaw. En route, a stop in Kazimierz Dolny. Arrival in Warsaw and overnight at the Mercure Chopin Hotel. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 9 — Warsaw › Airport (Bed & breakfast)

Breakfast and at the indicated time, transfer to the airport for the return flight.
